Stories for the September 4th edition: 1. City Council approves 1st reading of ordinance to allow approved synthetic turf in front yards. 2. Stage D water ordinance modified to allow exterior washing of buildings and vehicles in certain circumstances. 3. Beverly Hills and Israel from partnership to share ideas and resources and to encourage cultural exchange. 4. In remembrance of the 9-11 attacks, Beverly Hills to hold a Memorial Ceremony on Friday Sept. 11 at 5:30pm 5. Step-Up recipient Donna Goldstein honored by city council. 6. Kids 6 - 12 are encouraged to sign up for the "Junior Master Gardner" class in the demo garden at Greystone.
