Alyssa Milano (Actress from Charmed) to Sell West Hollywood Condo

SELLER: Alyssa Milano LOCATION: West Hollywood, Calif. PRICE: $1,399,000 SIZE: 2,252 square feet, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: As this property gossip first heard from Benny d’Snitch and subsequently read in the L.A. Times, child star-turned-sexy Tinseltown stalwart Alyssa Milano (“Who’s the Boss?,” “Melrose Place,” “Charmed”) has listed a house-sized West Hollywood condo she owns in the famously celebrified Empire West tower for $1.399 million.

The fortysomething-year-old brunette bombshell acquired the multi-exposure corner condo in July 2005 for $975,000, and this is hardly her first time riding the real estate bronco with this condo: Digital resources show she’s had the apartment on and off the sales market since the spring of 2010, when it was listed for $999,000. It was later and repeatedly listed at $1.195 million and, since early 2011, Miz Milano has repeatedly listed the condo for lease several times, first at $6,500 per month and later at $6,250.

Listing details show the fifth floor apartment has two bedrooms plus a den and three full bathrooms in 2,252 square feet. There are dark-stained parquet floors throughout the low-ceilinged but considerably sized open-concept main living space that includes a formal sitting area, dining area and lounge with built-in entertainment unit and bookshelves. A pretty dang puny informal dining space connects through to an almost as tiny if reasonably well-equipped kitchen with perfectly ordinary and inoffensive white raised panel cabinetry, dove grey subway tile back splashes, quartz countertops and medium-grade stainless steel appliances. Just in case anyone cares, this opinionated property gossip thinks the mini microwave sitting on the countertop is an abomination for which we wish the kitchen designer had more elegantly provided a built-in environment.

A full wall of multipane windows and French doors in the formal sitting area open to a small terrace conveniently fitted with electronic privacy screens that allow Miz Milano and her guest to sit out on the terrace in curlers and pajamas without anyone on the street below being the wiser. Both bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows fitted with light modulating and privacy-ensuring plantation shutters as well as access to windowless hence dark marble bathrooms that are certainly luxurious enough and decked out with high-grade materials and fixtures but aren’t exactly decoratively inspired spaces.

The Empire West building has been home to many stars over the years including Lindsay Lohan, Kelly Osbourne, Nicole Richie, Jerry Herman and Adam Lambert. The centrally located complex, just off La Cienega between Santa Monica and Sunset Boulevards, offers residents a plethora of creature comforts that include high security, valet parking in a private garage, an attended lobby with concierge, a tennis court and a rooftop swimming pool and sun deck with wraparound city views. Monthly homeowner’s fees for Miz Milano’s pied-a-terre ring up to $1,982, according to listing details.

Property records and other online resources show the “Project Runway All Stars” host, who also stars on the drama “Mistresses” and recently birthed her second child with her CAA agent second husband David Bugliari, also owns a recently renovated 6,000-square-foot-plus house on 2.75 horse-friendly acres in the guard-gated Bell Canyon development, in L.A.’s far western suburbs, that she scooped up in 2001 for $1.87 million.
