Ashley Tisdale Drops Price in Toluca Lake

SELLER: Ashley Tisdale LOCATION: Toluca Lake, CA PRICE: $2,599,000 SIZE: 3,406 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: All grown up former child star/pop singer Ashley Tisdale quietly listed her walled and gated residence in L.A.’s star-studded Toluca Lake area in early October at $2.649 million but just before Turkey Day reduced the asking price by a tiny smidgen to $2,599,000.

The now 29-year-old budding television producer (“Miss Advised,” “Young and Hungry”) and Emmy winner (shared with the cast and crew of “High School Musical”), in case she isn’t on your celebrity radar, currently voices a lead character on the animated series “Phineas and Ferb” and also gives voice to the title character on the animated series “Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch,” a gig that earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2014. Next year, Miz Tisdale, who’s released two studio albums that were popular with fans but not quite so much with critics, will co-star in the upcoming Max Mutchnick/David Kohan sitcom “Buzzy’s.”

Newly married to the lead singer of some band we’ve never heard of before called Annie Automatic, the former Disney darling purchased the property, as per property records, in the early days of 2008 for $1,305,000. The approximately 2,200 square foot, circa 1997 bungalow that stood on the property was razed and Miz Tisdale’s contractor father custom constructed the existing, neo-Spanish style residence that current listing details show has three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 3,406 square feet.

A walled and gated courtyard entry surveilled by an extensive camera-equipped security system leads to a small foyer and formal living room with stone tile floors, fireplace and vaulted and beamed ceiling. Miz Tisdale (and/or her decorator) has dressed the room with matching rolled arm sofas that face off over a decidedly decadent and wee-bit showy Louis Vuitton trunk repurposedas a coffee table with the mere addition of a thin piece of glass.

A central stair hall has a curved staircase with curlicued wrought iron banister and, at the rear of the partly solar-powered residence, an open plan living area includes a roomy dining area with a wide wall of wood-framed French doors. A half wall both separates and opens the dining area to a good-sized center island kitchen with top-grade appliances and the adjoining family room has more wood-framed French doors as well as a television-surmounted fireplace with carved stone (or possibly poured concrete) surround. Double pocket doors in the family room open to a wood-paneled, state-of-the-art home theater with WIFI-enabled HD projection system, half a dozen cordovan leather recliners with built-in cup holders and remote-controlled curtains and lighting.

There’s at least one guest/family bedroom with en suite facility on the second floor along with a master suite complete with soaring exposed wood ceiling, modern-minded fireplace, a very big and very beige bathroom and a boutique-like, multi-room walk-in closet/dressing room Miz Tisdale had photographed in recent years for InStyle and The Coveteur.

Glass doors in the master bedroom lead out to a private, Mexican paver tiled terrace that overlooks the backyard that though petite is jam-packed with a sizable dining loggia, an L-shaped built-in barbecue station, an open air cabana with fireplace, and a plunge-sized swimming pool and spa partly ringed by a narrow strip of lawn.

Miz Tisdale’s house sits next door to the manse formerly owned by divorced Tinseltowners Jennie Garth and Peter Facinelli and other Hollywood denizens who own homes in the affluent Toluca Lake nabe — but don’t necessarily live in them — include Steve Carell, Patricia Heaton, Eric McCormack, Andy Garcia, Miley Cyrus, and former Disney star Hilary Duff who owns a home almost directly across the street from Miz Tisdale’s that she picked up in 2006 for $1.65 million from Jennifer Love Hewitt.
