Kyle Schutte's Upcoming Beverly Hills Restaurant
A flatbread concept that just might work in Beverly Hills
Kyle Schutte felt that the rather off-prime location of Red Medicine could be something more than a high-end restaurant. The journeyman chef is hoping to infuse some neighborhood spirit into that space with The Flats.
Focusing on artisanal flatbreads, Schutte will use local, sustainable, and humanely raised products for shareable appetizers, unconventional charcuterie, and a "world-class cocktail program." Schutte also wants to "brings together local as well as exotic ingredients, out-of-the- box flavor combinations."
At the moment, there's no word on how quickly Schutte and partner Emily Mura-Smith (Firenze Osteria) would turn the place around, but a debut around March 2015 is likely at this point.
