Records show the property last changed hands over the summer of 2005 for $2.5 million. (We’re pretty sure Mister G. owns the property but over the years this property gossip has been told on more than one occasion that he leases rather than owns the property. Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?)
Listing details show the gated and heavily fortified property — it has a camera-equipped security system, natch — spans 1.92 acres with a long, gated driveway that snakes around to a relatively modest, single-story residence with three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms in 2,826 square feet. Listing details are pretty slim but do indicate there’s a “GREAT room” with a high beamed ceiling that encompasses an office area and media lounge with built-ins. The property also includes a separate detached office, a teardrop-shaped swimming pool and cabana, numerous outdoor lounge and entertainment areas and panoramic canyon and mountain views.
A few of the other high-profile peeps with homes in the ‘hood include David Hockney, Julianne Hough, and Justine Bateman and Jack Huston.
We’re not certain of Mister Gyllenhaal’s real estate plans in Los Angeles but for the last six or ten months he’s been spotted peeping high priced properties in New York City.
