Former NFL Cornerback Anthony Henry Buys in Hollywood
Retired NFL cornerback Anthony Henry just bought himself a fine house in Hollywood for the tidy sum of $2.6 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
A sleek, contemporary affair—we wonder what it is about playing for the Dallas Cowboysthat turns folks in to lovers of modern architecture—this house is a triumph for Henry, who spent his nine-year career playing for Cleveland, Dallas and Detroit.
His new property has clean lines, loads of contrast, and lots of pretty dazzling features. There are retractable glass walls (how cool is that?!), a floating glass staircase, a super-awesome in-wall fireplace—the whole thing just kind of hangs there—and an absolutely gorgeous teak-paneled deck, which houses the equally-beautiful pool.
This place is swank.
The kitchen is a dream, with gleaming white, Euro-style cabinetry magnificently offset by dark, wide-plank wood floor and wall paneling.
(It’s so nice in this place that we’d be afraid to touch anything.)
The five bedrooms are spectacular, and the bathrooms are absolutely otherworldly. Each of the five-plus bathrooms is adorned with art-inspired fixtures and paneled in gorgeous, dark, tropical woods.
Anthony Henry totaled 508 tackles and 31 interceptions in his NFL career. He played for four seasons collegiately at the University of South Florida, leading the team in interceptions twice (1999, 2000). Henry then led the NFL in interceptions his rookie year in Cleveland (2001), picking off ten passes for the Browns.
