Kim Kardashian and Kanye Quietly Selling Bel Air Mansion

YOUR MAMA’S NOTES: Now that they’ve completed the $21.25 million purchase of a freshly constructed French Country farmhouse mansion in the guard gated Hidden Hills community in L.A.’s far western suburbs Your Mama heard word via the celebrity real estate gossip grapevine thatKanye West and Kim Kardashian have floated a much smaller, mid-construction mansion they own in the L.A.’s guard-gated Bel Air Crest development as an off-market whisper listing with an optimistic sounding asking price of $11 million.

When the publicity generating pair acquired the Bel Air Crest crib in the early days of 2013 for $9 million, the existing residence was a newly rehabbed if fairly stereotypical example of a faux-Tuscan villa mashed with a mock-Med mcmansion with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms in not-quite 9,000 square feet. They quickly gutted the place and embarked an extensive and expensive renovation but, alas, soon caught a classic case of The Celebrity Real Estate Fickle and re-set their real estate sites on celeb-saturated Hidden Hills.

The couple’s new Hidden Hills estate, on the site of Lisa Marie Presley’s former compound and conveniently just around the corner from Momager Kris Kardashian’s manse, has a main house of about 16,000 square foot main house with eight bedrooms, eight fireplaces and eight full and two half bathrooms. Interior living spaces include formal living and dining rooms, a paneled library, a family room, a home theater and a three-island eat-in kitchen while the fully landscaped multi-acre grounds include not just one but two swimming pools, two spas, two built-in barbecue set ups, a pool house, two small vineyards, three fountains and a 1,050-square-foot entertainment pavilion.

What Your Mama wants to know now, of course, is how the equally loved and loathed gossip glossy staples, each a force of nature in their own money-minting ways, will reconcile their decidedly disparate decorative tastes. As evidenced by their previously homes, the bountifully bootied reality star goes for a zhushed up Shabby Chic sort of thing and the prodigiously ego-ed rapper/producer/writer/director/designer/etc. tends toward extreme minimalism and never, children, should those divergent styles meet in a twenty million dollar mansion.

In other celebrity related Hidden Hills real estate news: At just about the exact same time they completed the $40 million purchase of the Brentwood mansion sold by Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady, Dr. Dre and Nicole Threat hoisted a pair of vacant residential parcels they own in the Hidden Hills enclave up for sale for $14.5 million. They paid $10.5 million for the parcels that total about 5.79 acres and are just a couple doors down from the mansion Jessica Simpson bought from Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne in October 2012.
