Nicolas Chartier Buys Ashton Kutcher’s $9.9 Million Crib
It’s no secret in the celebrity real estate world that Ashton Kutcher sold his glassy, uber-modern mansion high above the Hollywood Reservoir for $9.925 million. What’s not so well known is that the as-yet-unidentified buyer of the 9,385-square-foot bachelor pad — per the ever-reliable celebrity real estate snitch Yolanda Yaketyyak — is French-born and sometimes controversial Oscar-winningproducer Nicolas Chartier (“Hurt Locker,” “Dallas Buyers Club”).
Mister Kutcher shelled out $8.455 million for that three-story residence in March 2012 in the aftermath of his well-publicized split from first wife, Demi Moore.
After he and his former co-star Mila Kunis hooked up, got serious and put a bun in the oven, she moved in to Kutcher’s cantilevered contemporary set behind gates at the tail end of a discreet (and discrete) cul-de-sac.
In search of a more family-friendly abode — Kutcher’s had a glass-floored glass cube that hovers thrillingly over the swimming pool — the engaged couple floated the five-bedroom and eight-bathroom mansion as a whisper listing in March, with a price tag of $12 million.
The “Family Guy” co-star has her Hollywood Hills bachelorette pad on the market for $3.995 million, and the young and comely couple already have acquired a new house in which to bring up baby: a 7,300-square-foot traditional in a celebrity-packed BevHills enclave they picked up for $10.215 million from veteran media exec Tom Freston in a hush-hush deal.
